Our goal is to make a significant contribution to public policy by providing health and social research evidence on the experiences of black and minority ethnic population groups in Wales

WERC Strategic Aims

• To increase the quality of, and promote the development of, health and social research in Wales with a specific focus on racialised and minoritised population groups.
  
• To lead and collaborate in the conduct and dissemination of high quality research projects and programmes
  
• To contribute to an evidence base for policy and service development in ethnicity, health and social care in Wales
  
• To increase Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) patient, service user, community group, and public involvement in health and social research and development in Wales
  
• To provide a gateway to ethnicity, health and social research in Wales, working specifically to involve BME patients, service users, and community groups and other key stakeholder groups.
