The structure governing this Collaboration comprises the WERC steering group, a core group of individuals representing the partner institutions, WERC Research Associates, and an Experts Forum. Our work is also informed, shaped and scrutinised by our current online discussion group membership which consists of individuals and organisations from across a range of sectors and professions, and black and minority ethnic individuals, organisations and community groups. Added to this are regional, national and UK research groups, centres and networks that share a committed interest in our subject area. Thus, WERC’s operational structure conforms to a basic network design. The overall aim is to develop a series of ‘checks and balances’ that will work to set in motion a circular flow of interests and views from the various stakeholder groups (see below).
