The Search for Researh Database - FAQ
What is on the database?
The database contains documents on research studies conducted wholly or partly in Wales with a focus on health, social care, social work and social well-being. We aim to include all research work that is not published in the peer-reviewed or mainstream journals. The database therefore contains reports and unpublished documents (grey literature). Please note that the database is in its initial stages and that some documents have yet to be included.
What information is provided?
Each entry contains the title of the article, the author(s), publication details, an abstract or summary of the aims, objectives and findings and an indication of the geographic area covered by the study (location). Information on ‘area of interest’ of the study and the BME groups included in the study (social groups) as well as keywords are included to help with the search. Access guidance to where the article can be found is included and links to available articles are provided.
The summaries have been written by WEDHS staff. Whilst every effort has been made to ensure that each summary is an accurate representation of the author's work should users have any suggestions for improvements then please e-mail Susanah Kimani.
